[edit] Peerreviewer recommendations for further improvement
The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.
- The lead of this article may be too long, or may contain too many paragraphs. Please follow guidelines at WP:LEAD; be aware that the lead should adequately summarize the article.
- Consider removing links that add little to the article or that have been repeated in close proximity to other links to the same article, as per WP:MOS-L and WP:CONTEXT.
- Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:MOSDATE, months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.
- Per WP:MOS, avoid using words/phrases that indicate time periods relative to the current day. For example, recently might be terms that should be replaced with specific dates/times.[1]
- There may be an applicable infobox for this article. For example, see Template:Infobox Biography, Template:Infobox School, or Template:Infobox City. (Note that there might not be an applicable infobox; remember that these suggestions are not generated manually)
- This article may be a bit list-weighty; in other words, some of the lists should be converted to prose (paragraph form). [2]
- Please alphabetize the interlanguage links.[3]
- This article is a bit too short, and therefore may not be as comprehensive as WP:WIAFA critera 2(b) is looking for. Please see if anything can be expanded upon.
- This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add
<div class="references-small"><references/></div>
.[4] - The article will need references. See WP:CITE and WP:V for more information.
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that the it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 2a. [5]

[edit] JOTA/JOTI/JOTT
Should we merge these articles? Horus Kol 08:27, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support Yes, good idea: merge into this article. The three articles are either very short or have hardly any surplus information. Perhaps in the future when someone really gets into it, an separate article either one of these topics can be pulled out, if needed. For the time being, the meagre information would well fit into this World Scout Jamboree article. Wim van Dorst (Talk) 21:37, 20 September 2006 (UTC).
I've moved JOTA into the World Scout Jamboree, and have now marked the original Jamboree on the Air article for deletion - Discussion. Will work on the others at next opportunity Horus Kol 09:42, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well done. See above tag to indicate the merger. And the remainders should just be redirects, not deleted. Wim van Dorst (Talk) 21:19, 22 September 2006 (UTC).
Okay, so all the information from the Jamboree on the Air, Jamboree on the Internet, and Jamboree on the Trail is now in the World Scout Jamboree article. I marked JOTA and JOTI for deletion when I had done them - some admin decided to have JOTA redirect to the main article, but a different admin decided not to lost JOTI... would be nice for some consistency, eh? So - my question - what do we do about JOTI and JOTT? Horus Kol 08:45, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Easy: if they're deleted: recreate them as redirects. If they're still there: remove all text and make a redirect. You don't need a admin for that: just make redirects (they're cheap). And for full correctness mark on this talk page that you merged those articles into this article. Wim van Dorst (Talk) 18:47, 25 September 2006 (UTC).
- Okay - thanks... i'm just never sure how far to go... Horus Kol 07:46, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- Be bold but not reckless. Have you now included all information from the three separate articles into the one WSJ article? Was there so little info in them? All the more ground to simply include it in this overall article. Wim van Dorst (Talk) 08:35, 26 September 2006 (UTC).
- bold but not reckless okay... as for the articles - the JOTA and JOTT articles were only a couple of paragraphs, and there is more info in the main one now than there was in there... JOTI was deceptive, as it contained a lot of the general history of Jamborees/World Scout Jamboree/JOTA and only a paragraph that was specifically JOTI - hence my merging of them.
