Talk:WPXI

[edit] Sinclair
The arrangement that turned WPGH's news operation over to WPXI is called a news-share agreement. Both companies (Cox and Sinclair) share ad revenue from the news venture. NO OWNERSHIP CHANGES TOOK PLACE.
According to the FCC Cox Television Ownership Report, WPXI is owned by Georgia Television Company, a wholly-owned venture of Cox Broadcasting.
Had Sinclair indeed assumed 10% of the controlling interest of WPXI, the station would no longer appear on the report above. Burghboy80 02:07, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Eleven?
Does the station actually spell out the word "eleven"? I can't watch WPXI, but I was not aware of that before. I will remove this statement if they in fact do not do this. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 23:39, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sinclair Ownership?
Sinclair does not own any part of WPXI. There's simply a "newsshare" between WPGH and WPXI. It's a contract that exists. So until someone can find documentation that Sinclair owns a portion of WPXI, any reference of ownership should be removed. --Write On 1983 02:01, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
