WRON is a radio station that operates in the Greenbrier Valley area of West Virginia. It operates on both AM frequency (1400) as a news/talk station and on FM frequency (97.7) as an oldies music station. Although the two channels are separate, they both use the callsign WRON.
The AM division is fully run by WRON, while the FM division (known as Good Time Oldies) is a join effort with Jones Radio Network. WRON is owned and operated by Radio Greenbrier, Inc.
Radio Greenbrier was sold in the 1990s to Michael Kidd, who has been with the station since the early '70s.The parent company's name is now Greenbrier Radio, Inc.
