The name "wtcBB" is an abbreviation of "WebTricksCentral Bulletin Board", being originally created by and for the WebTricksCentral website. However, ever since wtcBB2, WebTricksCentral has been more focused on its wtcBB development and dropped its original WebTricksCentral portal. wtcBB is available under the GNU General Public License, wtcBB is free software.
