This facility was built in 1997 with money from a Taiwanese source. It is located on a hill behind the Wuhan Foundling Hospital.

The original orphanage in Wuhan is known as the Wuhan Foundling Hospital. It was described in a New York Times Magazine article titled, "I Met My Daughter at the Wuhan Foundling Hospital".
