Some notes to build on later: ABX had some noteworthy features, including Alan Watts lectures, Detroit Tube Works (video provided by public TV station), Fireside Theater, King Biscuit, Barrigan Bunny stories and live readings of the Sunday Funnies, ran news from Pacifica News Service (I think), also featured some important counter culture personalities in Detroit such as John Sinclair, Harvey Ovshinsky and regular "Air Aces" Dave Dixon, Dan Carlysle, JerryLubin, "Righteous" (Bob) Rudnick. Sponsored or supported Ann Arbor "Hash Bash", broadcast live the John Lennon "Free John Sinclair" Concert. Musically I think Hendrix, Coltrane, Dr. John, Sun Ra, The Doors, MC5, Teagarden & Van Winkel, Patty Smith, Bob Segar, Blue Cheer, Ted Nugent represent the local/national mix. The radio station also had a close relationship with the Fifth Estate and the Plum Street hippie neighborhood.
