Xgħajra (pronounced shyra in Maltese, also called Ix-Xgħajra) is a small village in Malta on the coast, about halfway between Valletta and Marsaskala. The population of Xgħajra is 1,234 people (Nov 2005).
Its local football club is known as: Xghajra Tornadoes F.C.
