Xscape was a female American Grammy nominated R&B quartet that had a string of hit songs during the early and mid 1990s. The original lineup of the group consisted of sisters LaTocha Scott ("Meatball") (born October 2, 1973) and Tamika Scott ("Juicy") (born November 19, 1975), along with Kandi Burruss ("Kandi") (born May 17, 1976) and Tameka Cottle ("Tiny") (born July 14, 1975).

The Scott sisters' father, Rev. Randolf Scott, was part of the 1970s R&B group Scott Three. The sisters sang at church throughout their childhoods while being trained by their father. In 1990, they met the other two members, Burruss and Cottle, in College Park, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

They first sang at Jermaine Dupri's birthday party in 1991 and later signed to his label, So So Def Recordings. They released their debut album, Hummin' Comin' At 'Cha, in October of 1993. The album featured their debut single, "Just Kickin' It", which reached #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, along with the other singles "Tonight", "Understanding", and "Love on My Mind".
Xscape's sophomore album, Off the Hook, was released in July of 1995. It featured the #1 hit "Who Can I Run To" (a cover of the song originally recorded by The Jones Girls) along with singles "Feels So Good", "Can't Hang", and "Do You Want To". During the next few years, they collaborated with different artists such as female rapper MC Lyte on the song "Keep On Keepin' On" and pop/R&B singer Mariah Carey on the Mr. Dupri Mix of her #1 song, "Always Be My Baby", which also featured rapper Da Brat.
They released their third album, Traces of My Lipstick, in May of 1998. It featured the singles "The Arms Of The One Who Loves You", "My Little Secret", "Am I Dreamin'", and "Softest Place on Earth". After the release of this album, the group parted ways.
Then after a five year hiatus Xscape returned to the radio airwaves. With three multiplatinum platinum albums and many top 40 singles under their belt, the sultry R&B quartet, Xscape, is ready to release yet another spicy, seductive album, currently entitled Unchained. Sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott have reunited with Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and have added a new member, Keisha Miles, to round out their signature sound. Xscape has been busy booking live performances across the nation following the growing success of “What’s Up”, the first single off the new album. The group recently opened for Alicia Keys in Houston and just performed on 100.3 The Beat’s 15th Anniversary Birthday Bash at the Universal Amphitheater.

Tamika released the single "Day & Night" in Japan. She also appeared in the 2004 Tyler Perry play Meet the Browns as Millet Jenay Baptiste-Brown. Which can be seen in Blockbusters. Tamika has written, produced, A&R and arranged four songs and is featured as a solo artist on the new Tyler Perry movie soundtrack "Daddy's Little Girls". The soundtrack was released Jan 16,2007 on Atlantic Records. Her single "Greatest Gift" is said to be the love song of the century. The movie will be in theaters Valentines Day. She currently have the following tracks out titled "Why Do I", "Dance 4 Me" and "Sweet Love"

Currently resides with son Ja'Mon and his father Rockey Bivens. She recorded a solo album, titled Solo Flight 404, and made solo appearances on Jermaine Dupri's "All That's Got To Go", J-Shin's "One Night Stand" Cha Cha's "Dear Diary" and Trick Daddy's "Thug Holiday". She is said to have a 4 octave vocal range.

Kandi has the most solo success as a singer and songwriter. She has written for artists such as TLC, Destiny's Child, *NSYNC, Boyz II Men, Faith Evans, and Alicia Keys. In 2000, Columbia Records released her solo debut, Hey Kandi…, which featured the hit song "Don't Think I'm Not". She is also responsible for discovering male R&B quartet Jagged Edge. In 2006, she released "I Need" featuring Eightball & MJG from an upcoming solo album Upfront Records. She is also featured on E-40's hit "U and That" as she goes under the name "Kandi Girl." She is said to have a 4 octave vocal range.

Nicknamed "Tiny" because of her 4'11" height, she resides in Atlanta with her daughter Zonnique Jailee Pullins. She, along with Kandi Burruss, wrote TLC's 1999 mega hit "No Scrubs" In which Tiny lends her vocals to the hit song singing the hook of "No Scrubs". Tiny also sings background vocals to Lil' Kim song called "I Know You See Me" from The Naked Truth album, and on Lil Bow Wow's single titled " Get Down". and with Eightball & MJG where Tiny sings the vocals to the titled song "Things We Used To Do". She & T.I broke off their long term relationship in March 2006. Tiny and T.I. reunited again in May 2006. They have a son Clifford "King" Harris III. Her daughter, Zonnique, is a member of girl group QT-Possie. Tiny and Keisha have formed a group called The Ga.P Girls(Georgia Peach) in which the group will focus on sexy and sultry music that girls can dance to and males can bump to. Tiny is currently back in forth in the studio working on tracks. She also did a song with rapper T.I. called titled "So Cold" you can check it out on Tiny was pregnant with famed rapper T.I's baby "Lil' Queen" but the baby died of stillbirth on March 21, 2007. Tiny is currently recovering in an Atlanta hospital. Tameka & T.I were together on and off from 2003, but as of March 2007 T.I and Tiny called it quits.
