Yantou Quanhuo

Yantou Quanhuo (or, Yen-t’ou Ch’uan-huo) (828-887) was an ancient Ch'an master of China whom was dharma heir to Deshan Xuanjin. He is the subject of many koans, and the story goes that he was murdered by bandits.
