Yokohama Minatomirai Railway Company

The Yokohama Minatomirai Railway Company (横浜高速鉄道株式会社 Yokohama Kōsoku Tetsudō Kabushiki-gaisha?, "Yokohama Rapid Railway Company") is a third-sector railway company funded by the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture and the Tokyu Electric Railway Company.
The company oversees the Minato Mirai Line and the Kodomonokuni Line. Train crews and operations are contracted out to the Tokyu Electric Railway Company.

- 1989 March, the company is established to develop the Minato Mirai line.
- 1990 April, the Minato Mirai Line is categorized as a first class railroad.
- 1992 November, construction begins on the Minato Mirai Line.
- 1997 August, the company acquires the Kodomonokuni Line
- 2004 February the Minato Mirai Line is opened.
