[edit] Plot Summary
Alex Lansing's little brother Stevie is always getting him in trouble. One day Stevie is given a supposedly magic wishing coin for doing a good deed, he then gives it to Alex, telling him to use it instead after he gets Alex in trouble. Alex uses it to wish that he no longer had a little brother; to his horror, it comes true.
Although Stevie is now a TV star called Terrence Russell McCormack and unrelated to him, and Alex's life seems immeasurably better now(the life he always dreamed of).He is the most popular boy in school a football star and has the most popular girl in school dating him.However he misses his old friends especially a female friend who he never realised that he had feelings for as well as his old life.He also apparently feels guilty about the difficulties his brother has in this new reality.So he teams up with Terrence Russell McCormack (his brother before his wish) and his female friend before his wish to try and get his life back the way it was.
The film carries a powerful message to appreciate what you have because sometimes things that we take for granted are the most valuable.
