Young Boltonian Broadcasters' Awards
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Young Boltonian Broadcasting Award is one of several awards honoured by the Bolton and Wigan Broadcasting Association. The idea for the award was introduced in 2001 by well known broadcaster Glen Hughes, and has since become the primary attraction at the annual awards ceremony, held since 2003 at Bolton Albert Halls. The aim of rewarding young broadcasting talent in and around the Bolton and Wigan area has struck a chord with local hero James Southern. The award has been dominated by local 17 year old Chris Woodward, who is the only broadcaster to have twice collected the award. Winners of the award are as follows:
2001 - John Crompton
2002 - Clive Smithe
2003 - Sarah Croft
2004 - Jack Clarke
2005 - Chris Woodward
2006 - Chris Woodward
