Young Christian Workers

The Young Christian Workers is an international Roman Catholic organization founded by Joseph Cardijn in Belgium as the Young Trade Unionists; the organization changed its name in 1924. In 1925, the YCW grew throughout Belgium and gained the support of Pope Pius XI. YCW now has more than 3 million members in some 80 countries.
