Yuji Nakazawa (中澤 佑二 Nakazawa Yūji?, born February 25, 1978) is a Japanese football player who currently plays for the J-league team Yokohama F. Marinos. In 2004 Nakazawa was voted the J League's most valuable player after leading Yokohama to the J League title. He also played a key role in Japan's Asian Cup 2004 success. He played in all of Japan's World Cup 2006 group games. He retired from international play after the World Cup, believing "[he] felt [he] was done wearing the national team shirt," but has since been recalled to the national side.[1]. Also, there were many rumors that he might leave the F-Marinos, possibly to go to Nagoya Grampus Eight, but these were quashed when he signed a contract extension. Nakazawa's nickname is "Bomberhead" due to his his distinctive hair style.
