Zaio Corp. is a public corporation that is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange in Canada under the symbol ZAO. The name [1]Zaio] is an acronym for Zone Appraisal and Imaging Operations which roughly describes Zaio's business activity. Zaio partners with local real estate appraisers by photographing all the real estate in that appraisers Zip Code and merging the image with public parcel data. The photo and parcel data are then provided to the local appraiser along with special web based Zaio software that helps the appraiser effectively appraise every home in that Zip code and maintain a value estimate monthly. Zone appraisers purchase these Rights from Zaio Corporation and in turn Zaio conducts the photo shoot and helps to market the data nationally to lenders, Appraisal Management companies and those involved in collateral risk analysis. Every time data is sold the local appraiser receives the lions share of the revenue. In addition, the appraiser's analysis becomes an ideal base market study, from which they can readily produced full interior inspection appraisals much quicker and with a greater degree of accuracy. During 2007 it is estimated (by Zaio management) that Zaio Corporation will photograph 30-50% of all the homes in major American cities and within 3 years have current street level photos of every home and building in all metro areas. At the time of this writing Zaio had photographed 2.5 million addresses, and the photography pace was accelerating to a pace of 100,000 images per day.
