Talk:Zedar

It's interesting to note that Belgarath uses the defence of "I was driven by neccessity, so I did what was necessary" in the context of being a instrument of the Prophecy of Light, but Zedar is afforded no such consideration. Zedar's apostasy and betrayal were absolutely necessary in order to bring Eriond into the world and his reward? Eternal entombment.
- Yep, always seemed a bit harsh to me too - particularly considering the fact that Durnik's attack on him was virtually unprovoked. Alongside the incident where Barak rapes his wife with seemingly no ill consequence, it's one of the things in the otherwise-brilliant series that I really think should have been dealt with differently. 82.24.189.88 17:41, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
