"The evidence against the authenticity of the map is based largely on the appearance of many non-existent islands in the North Atlantic and off the coast of Iceland. One of these islands was Frisland." --- This is hardly evidence against the authenticity of the map. Maps from the 14th through 16th centuries commonly depicted non-existent islands to the west of Europe, including Frisland. Certainly the Zeno is a forgery but this is not the evidence against it. That evidence is outlined in Lucas's book.
