[edit] Proposal criticism
- When used to describe, label or categorize another subject the phrase "conspiracy theory" is pejorative and inappropriate in an encyclopedia article's title.
That is incorrect. When used to describe a conspiracy theory, the phrase is accurate and NPOV, and should be used where appropriate, including article titles. -Will Beback 21:40, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
- You didn't read the rest of the proposal, 1) the phrase is ambiguous 2) it's impossible to cite who counter accuses a theory of being akin to folklore or rumor 3) a title's job is not to state conclusiveness, note the Flat Earth article, 4) theory, theoretical speculation, folklore, rumor, fiction, and accusation needs to be disassociated and disambiguated from one another. zen master T 22:05, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've read the previous proposals, and responded to each of your points about them. I'm not going to spend a lot of time reading a proposal that starts out wrong, and which ignores previous comments. -Will Beback 23:24, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
- Moved to your userspace, since community has already rejected the two previous similar proposals. Radiant_>|< 22:17, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
- The second vote was censored by you or those allied with you just as it was getting started, it did not fail, the first vote closed 6.5 months ago. Why are you so against community reconsideration of the "conspiracy theory" title neutrality issue? zen master T 23:08, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

- One possible explanation which presents itself is this: nobody else thinks it's an issue. - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C]

- It's ok for people to think that, it's not ok for people to censor. You have the right to choose not respond to a challenge to defend the phrase "conspiracy theory" from a charge of being ambiguous, biasing, and non-neutral but you don't have the right to dismiss criticism into oblivion. zen master T 00:12, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
