Talk:Zilwaukee, Michigan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why not leave the section in about Zilwaukee's no shaving ordinance for men over the age of 21 to celebrate the town's 150th anniversary? I don't understand why that's been removed. It represents the townspeople, current events in Zilwaukee, and relates the town to it's history. It is also an influence on their tourism industry. This is not pointless trivia, it's often the only reason many people have ever heard of the town.
- Because according to the source provided, it was NOT an ordinance, only proposed by one council member. As such it is not a very fair reflection of the town as a whole. older ≠ wiser 17:51, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that is a peculiar policy, however since it was not passed it really does not help to define Zilwaukee. Not many towns are defined by proposals that did not pass.
