Zuni cafe
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One of San Francisco's mogul restaurants. Ground central for Mediterranean cuisine for 15 years and frequented by hipsters and the well-heeled. When Zuni opened on this desolate stretch of Market Street only artists and the gay community embraced it. Now it draws patrons from all over the city and tourists as well. The look is nouveau New Mexico, echoing its opening menu which had Southwestern flavors. A vibrant Parisian-style standing-only copper bar greets you as you enter on Rose Alley. Zuni’s menu changes daily with dishes inspired by traditional Italian and French recipes. Nearly all of the produce, meat, and fish served at Zuni is farmed and harvested in a sustainable manner. Famous for their roasted chicken and burgers. Today the Mediterranean is the focus, as well as a great wines by the glass program and great champagnes by the glass.
