Zyad Barakat Chaabo (also spelt Ziad Shaboo, born January 1, 1979 in Damascus, Syria) is a Syrian football player who is currently on loan at the IPL club, Persepolis F.C. and is a member of Syria national football team. He usually plays in the striker position.

Zyad Chaabo started his career at Hutteen club in Syria, and after seven seasons moved to Syrian League giants Al-Jaish.

He went on loan to Persepolis F.C. on January 31, 2007, on a 3-month contract which will last till the end of the Persian Gulf Cup (2006-2007) season.

Chaabo is currently a member of the Syria national football team and has scored 12 goals in 45 games for his country.
