James Peebles

Philip James („Jim“) Edwin Peebles (* 25. April 1935 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kanada) ist ein kanadisch-amerikanischer Kosmologe.
Peebles ist emeritierter Professor an der Princeton University.
Er leistete wertvolle Beiträge zum Urknall-Modell und sagte mit anderen die 3K-Hintergrundstrahlung voraus.
