7 Lives Exposed (also known as 7 Lives Xposed) is an American reality television-themed series produced by Playboy TV. The series was first aired in 2001, with a second season following in 2006. The series stars pornographic actress Devinn Lane. The series was produced by Tom Lazarus.
The concept of the series is similar to that of Survivor and Big Brother -- contestants must satisfy certain ongoing criteria or risk being "evicted"; in this case, Lane herself decides who among a set of couples living together in a Los Angeles-area home stays or goes each episode.
The object of the "game" (as of season 2) was for the people in the house to have sex with each other, with the ultimate goal of having sex with Lane at the end of the series. (Despite this goal, Lane is shown being intimate with contestants throughout the series). As the primary audience of the series is heterosexual men, the winner may be male or female and there are both heterosexual and lesbian sex scenes throughout the series. The sex is simulated however, scenes of oral sex and masturbation are much more explicit in that some contact is shown. Dramatic tension arises from conflicts between the contestants, often related to jealousy and competition.
The show is not a reality show but is instead staged to appear as a reality show. There was one situation of someone being shot and another of someone claiming to be raped; in neither case were police shown to be involved which indicates it is a fictional show. As well the people appearing on camera have appeared as actors on a number of shows and movies both before and after they appeared on the series.
