[edit] Plot
Rocko's house is extremely filthy. Just as his vacuum cleaner dies, he is brainwashed by a home-shopping channel into buying a slick '50s-style vacuum cleaner called the Suck-O-Matic. The one he gets turns out to a tank-sized vehicle with a huge nozzle and numerous cleaning functions. The Suck-O-Matic works fine so far but when Rocko discovers it can control itself his property is put in danger. Heff and Rocko find the instruction manual for it but the manual gets sucked up. Just as the two along with Spunky are about to get sucked up, the vacuum chokes on an old potato chip. Heff removes the chip and the three get sucked up into the vacuum. The three are now forced to live inside the cleaner along with the rest of O-Town's residents with their own cleaners.

[edit] Notes, Goofs, and Trivia
- This was originally meant to be the first episode of Rocko's Modern Life. For some reason, Nickelodeon mixed it up and aired the episodes all out of order, except for reruns.
- The picture on the "Neutering Device" was of a dog then a minus sign followed by two baseballs.
- Before the announcer finishes the commercial, he says that the Suck-O-Matic is, "Now only $99.95." However, when the commercial ends, the price shown is actually $99.99.
- Rocko orders the Suck-o-matic without even dialing a number. This is not a mistake. Before Rocko does this, the TV says, "Just pick up the phone and ask for the Suck-o-matic", Rocko then does exactly this. This is done to mock the mind-controlling, dictatorial, and unrealistic nature of infomercials.
[edit] Quotes
- Rocko: Maybe we should try the neutering device later.
- Heffer: Sheesh. 100 channels and there's nothing on!
- Rocko: I must cease this senseless sucking. (turns the switch on and off and nothing happens) It's stuck in suck!
- Rocko: You're useless and pathetic...like a useless and pathetic thing.

Rocko gets fired from his job at Super-Lot-O-Comics. After trying numerous other jobs ranging from a tatoo artist, plumber's assistant, to a thinly disguised phone sex operator, he answers a want-ad from Conglom-O where Mr. Bighead works. Bighead offers Rocko a job in product testing hoping to get rid of him. He tests a device that changes nose-styles but it doesn't work on Mr. Bighead, instead turning his eyes into noses. Rocko then tests a genetically-enhanced chewing gum which makes him sprout a tree on his head. A furious Ed eats the rest of the gum and is attacked by a swarm of bees when he grows a beehive on his head. Rocko then tries a hairdo machine which again, works for Rocko but fails on Bighead when he tries it. Finally, Bighead sends Rocko out into a huge enclosed field where he is sprayed with mad giraffe repellent. He survives the stampede of giraffes but trample over Ed. Angered and frustrated, Bighead fires Rocko from Conglom-O. Rocko then gets a job at a smaller comic book store, the Kind-Of-A-Lot-O-Comics shop. His old boss, Mr. Dupette, enters the store and asks for some comics he was out of as well as some gum. A conniving Rocko gives him the comics and the prototype gum. Dupette grows a beehive on his head while driving and is attacked by bees.
