Africa Miranda (born in Boston, Massachusettes, and raised in Alabama,) is one of two runners-up of the 2007 "My Grammy Moment" contest, organized by NARAS and Yahoo! Music and announced at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. Through online and text message voting, she was placed in the top three along with 19-year-old Robyn Troup and 22-year-old Brenda Radney and attended the Grammy ceremony. Jennifer Hudson announced the winner and Robyn Troup immediately went onstage to perform Ain't No Sunshine and My Love with Justin Timberlake.
