Hi Arad,

I saw that you recently added much to the History of Iran article. Kudos for your diligence. I doubt that this will do anything to clean up the main article, alas, as there are some very vocal critics that are getting pretty nasty towards anyone that suggests anything close to WP:SIZE standards. We'll need to get WP:Rfc on this to get anywhere.

The picture doesnt necessarily imply that what is being depicted actually happened.

It only reflects what the artist (an early European or American orientalist) thought of Xerxes.

Use it how you think is appropriate. We can actually use it on the Anti-Iranianism article (showing how biased they thought of Persia) perhaps. --Zereshk 00:53, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Given the overwhelming opposition that I am hearing against trimming the history section, I am uncomfortable with unilateral action at the moment. Hi. We are trying to keep the article size small. If you think that article you want to add is better than something else there, it might be better at this point to bring it to the discussion area, so we can weigh in on whether it presents a better statement than something that is already there.
