Aske (Ashes) is the second release by Varg Vikernes' Burzum project. Originally released under the DSP label (Deathlike Silence Productions) by the late "Euronymous". This release is infamous for its cover of the Fantoft stave church after the arson. Vikernes claims to have taken this picture, but this has not been verified. The first 1000 records sold came with a Zippo lighter bearing the same picture as the album, creating quite a bit of havoc. This was later re-released with the self-titled debut through Misanthropy Records.
