Audiojack(or Audio Jack) are an English electronic music duo comprising James Rial and Richard Burkinshaw, who met in Ibiza in 2002. Their music consists of various styles ranging from Techno to House and Experimental. Some of their most popular songs include "Robot", released in June 2006, "Whitenoise" and "Quicksand".

With a musical presence and maturity beyond their experience Audiojack are arguably one of the most talented and exciting electronic music acts to develop in recent years.

Signed to Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision Recordings for their solo productions and forthcoming debut album and with remixes under their belt for labels such as Renaissance, CR2, Leftroom Limited and Lot 49, Audiojack have proved to have a unique ability to produce credible underground music whilst appealing to a wide enough audience to surpass the average sales and airplay of many of their peers.

Their music has gathered an enviable and varied list of international DJs who support their sound including Deep Dish, Paul Woolford, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, Timo Maas, Erol Alkan, Black Strobe, Luciano, Steve Lawler, Craig Richards, Meat Katie, Funk D’Void, King Unique and Adam Freeland to name but a few.

Their first original production ‘Robot’ released on Leftroom Limited has dominated leading DJs sets since release and sold over nine thousand vinyl and digital copies.

Debuting with such a big production meant a big follow up and when the guys were asked by Paul Woolford to remix his recent underground classic ‘Erotic Discourse’ they didn’t disappoint, creating another track which has seen massive global coverage with plays from most of the aforementioned artists and many more.

More recently their debut EP on 20:20 Vision featuring the tracks ‘White Noise’, ‘Coastline’ and ‘Quicksand’ has removed any ‘one trick pony’ doubts with all tracks receiving massive airplay from many of the worlds leading DJs and achieving status as one of 20:20 Vision’s best selling EP’s of 2006.

But it isn’t just their productions which are receiving such critical acclaim. Their ability to work as a team at the highest level is best seen in their live DJ performances. Having recently undertaken a 20 date UK tour along with appearances in China, Russia and Latvia, Audiojack have wowed crowds with a unique blend of their own current and forthcoming productions along with those of other artists who fit in with their distinctive and original sound.

So much so did Audiojack impress on their debut at the legendary Back to Basics event in England that promoter Dave Beer asked them back to headline the special New Years Eve event in their home town, Leeds. An amazing achievement considering Back to Basics’ reputation as one of the world’s most desirable events for any electronic music act to perform at.

Alongside releasing original productions on 20:20 Vision, Audiojack are in the process of establishing their own label U.F.O (Underground Frequency Organisation). U.F.O is set to act not only as a second stable to release their own material but also for other artists who compliment the labels sound.

With several remixes, original productions and their album along with a lot more international touring all in planning for 2007 it looks like this will be the year when Audiojack confirm their place as one of the most consistent and successful electronic music acts around today.

[edit] Beginnings

Jaime and Rich met in Ibiza in 2002. After the season ended they moved back to England and subsequently ended up living together in Leeds where they are at the moment. Their major breakthrough came when they produced "Robot" and sent it to Jay Kilka at Tribe Records, who later singed Audiojack to to his Leftroom label with Matt Tolfrey. Audiojack also sent their CD to Paul Woolford, who was delighted to hear the track. Soon after that, many DJs started including "Robot" in their tracklists.

After their major breakthrough, Audiojack were asked to remix Paul Woolford's "Erotic Discourse", signing to Ralph Lawson's 20:20 Vision Recordings.

Apart from many remixes, Audiojack worked on tracks like "Whitenoise", "Quicksand" and "Coastline".

They also like to eat their own excrement. But thats no news!!!!

Audiojack worked on their own label entitled U.F.O (Underground Frequency Organisation) as a sub label of 2020 Vision Recordings. This label is dedicated to providing the best in underground electronic music. The first release is the "Speculum EP" featuring the tracks "Implant" and "Manipulators", due out at the end of March 2007.

Right now, Jamie and Rich are working hard on Audiojack and on their label, U.F.O. One of their next tracks due for release is "3 by 4", included in some of their mixes.
