Blasphemy are a black metal band formed in Burnaby, Canada in 1984. They play raw, primitive and minimalistic old school black metal, incorporating elements from grindcore and thrash metal. Their sound closely resembles to that of Beherit and Von. Their last full-length release was the 1993 "Gods of War", often considered a classic of the genre, but the band is still active and the members get together for rehearsals every once in a while.
In 1994, the band toured through Europe along with Rotting Christ and Immortal.
