The Botswana cricket team is the team that represents Botswana in international cricket.

Cricket was started in the country by expatriates from South Africa and the Indian sub-continent. [1] Botswana was elected to the ICC as an affiliate member in 2001, and became an associate member in 2005. [2]

In 2004, Botswana did better than expected and came 4th in the Africa Cricket Association Championships, just missing out on a spot in the next stage of qualification for the World Cup. In August 2006, they took part in Division Two of the Africa Region of the ICC World Cricket League, finishing as runners up to Tanzania.
