Brink! is a 1998 Disney Channel Original Movie set in the backdrop of competitive inline skating.
[edit] Plot
In this adaptation of Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates, Andy "Brink" Brinker and his friends, who call themselves "Soul-Skaters" (meaning they skate for the fun of it, and not the money), clash with a group of sponsored skaters - Team X-Bladez. When Brink discovers his family is in financial trouble, he decides to go over to the dark side of skating and join team X-Bladez. Only after realizing that this transformation was a poor decision, he forgoes his financial problems and makes do by getting a job at a local dog grooming shop, "Pup 'N Suds". With an advance on his salary, he sponsors his Soul-Skating friends to compete in a decisive competition against other skaters and among them his old team, Team X-Bladez.
