Talk:Eagle snacks
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Eagle brand name was sold to P and g however the plants were sold to Frito Lay. The brand was expected to groow and become a dominant player in the market. Frito Lay knew that Eagle was placed for sale by AB and they could not allow another company such as Coke to buy it, the problem was that due to federal law, neither could they. You can't buy out your competitor in our country. they did what they could do which was to go to August Busch and offer a huge amount of money for the processing plants, with no plants to make eagle chips there was no more chips. bam problem solved no more competition and nobody gets sued, it was an ugly thing.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Johneaglesnacks (talk • contribs).
