Héctor Bracamonte is an Argentine football striker. He was born on February 16, 1979, in the city of Río Cuarto in the Córdoba Province of Argentina. He currently plays for FC Moskva of the Russian Premier League. His nickname is "Braca".
Bracamonte started his career at Boca Juniors 1998, he had a short spell in the Argentine 2nd division with Club Atlético Los Andes before moving to Spain to play for CD Badajoz.
In 2002 Bracamonte returned to Argentina to play for Boca again, but after only one season he moved to Russia to play for Torpedo Metallurg, now called FC Moskva.
In 2003 Bracamonte played for Torpedo Metallurg nine matches scoring five goals. The next year was his best in Russia. He scored 10 goals in 30 matches while becoming the leader of FC Moskva. He became popular with the Moscow fans due to his various stylish haircuts. Once he wore long curly hair Bracamonte was nicknamed "Pushkin" (a russian famous writer).
During the season 2005 he scored six goals in 27 matches including the one against FC Spartak Moscow that resembled the famous Diego Maradona's Goal of the Century, dribbling past three opponents and the goalkeeper[citation needed].
2006 was Bracamonte's worst year in Russia: he scored only three goals in 26 games. Nevertheless the Argentinian along with his partner Isaac Okoronkwo was voted by the fans FC Moskva player of the season.
On the March, 10 2007 he scored the first goal in Russia Premier League 2007.
