Halifax West (French: Halifax-Ouest) is a federal electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 1979. Its population in 2001 was 79,933.

Ethnic groups: 91.8% Caucasoid, 2.3% Black, 1.8% Arab, 1.0% South Asian
Languages: 90.0% English, 2.8% French, 6.6% Other
Religions: 43.0% Protestant, 39.8% Catholic, 1.1% Christian Orthodox, 1.4% Other Christian, 2.4% Jewish, 2.3% Muslim, 8.4% No affiliation
Average income: $32,372

The district includes the old town of Bedford, the west end of the former City of Halifax, and an area that extends to the community of Upper Hammonds Plains in the north, Tantallon in the west and Terence Bay in the south. The area is 564 sq. km.
