Talk:Hit point
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Not explained clearly
Also, the use of hitpoints instead of more realistic, yet violent gauges of "health", may help a game get a lower ESRB rating, as showing blood often raises the ESRB score.
I don't believe this is explained clearly. --WikiSlasher 14:08, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge this page with Life Bar
I belive that the "life bar" page should be merged with the "Use in computer games" section here. Both entries speak of the uses of points and a bar, aswell as other representations of health. --CrazyFoolMrT 12:40, 12 December 2006
The life bar article also mentions hit point as a synonym for life bar (which is technically not correct since the life bar is one of several possible depictions of the HP value, and not identical with the value itself). So, yes, merge the stuff into this article. — TowerDragon 00:49, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, althought perhaps both articles should be merged into an article with a name like Health (game mechism)--HoneymaneHeghlu meH QaQ jajvam 19:41, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good call, that would be better, the page could include numerous "life" representations used in different games

- Should I go ahead and create the page? --HoneymaneHeghlu meH QaQ jajvam 06:04, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
