- It wasn't nonsense. It was an on-topic picture depicting public response to the merger. James Callahan 19:56, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

- You just assume every edit I make is vandalism, don't you? Mind you, I don't blame you since it's so prevalent, but at least give me the benefit of the doubt. James Callahan 19:57, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your edit to Spider web
Looking at your edit history, it appears that not every edit you make is vandalism, but far too many of them are. Please give some thought to the notion of growing up.
This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Spider web, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. KarlBunker 02:34, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the suggestion. I shall consider growing up tomorrow, maybe after work. Have a nice day. James Callahan 02:39, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

- It occurs to me that you may be laboring under a couple of innocent misimpressions: First, your edits indicate that you think of Wikipedia as being a kind of group blog where humor will be welcome. It isn't; people who contribute to WP are expected to take it seriously, and humor is not appreciated.
- Secondly, you may be under the mistaken impression that your attempts at humor are in fact humorous. I'm afraid you're incorrect on that count as well. KarlBunker 02:56, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

- Interesting how sarcastically you imply that sarcasm (and other forms of humor) are not tolerated. James Callahan 02:58, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 10mm Auto edit
Read Hansen v. Webster (http://www.firearmstactical.com/pdf/hansen_v_webster.pdf), where a female agent sued the FBI in part because "firearms training and testing screened out disproportionate numbers of female trainees". What in particular in the firearms training is discriminitory is summed up in this letter from Christine Hansen's attorney: http://www.thegunzone.com/ayoob/hansen_proceeding.pdf. More of Massad Ayoob's writing (he served as an expert witness for Hansen) on women and guns covers the specific issues, such as http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles/ayoob63.html. Big guns, long stocks and trigger reaches, and heavy recoil springs are all issues that will impact individuals with smaller builds and less hand strength, which on average will impact men more than women. There's been a lot of activity on that portion of the 10mm article recently, and it may be worthwhile to come up with a citation to back it up; do you think the references provided are sufficient to draw the conclusion? I know they aren't specific to the 10mm, but since the Hansen case was decided in 1981, prior to the development of the 10mm, it provided a significant incentive to downsize the power and size of the 10mm/1006 combination. scot 19:51, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, while I was trying to be encyclopedic by removing it, but I was also being somewhat facetious and sarcastic by calling it "hateful and offensive", because in reality I'm probably the most politically incorrect (or reasonable, depending on who you ask) person you'll meet. Yes, that citation will do fine. Thanks. James Callahan 01:53, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Glad you like it. :) There are a few specific tweaks which I might need some help with: Default image background, white tabs and main menu. Ive been happy enough with it to not bother. Regards, -Ste|vertigo 06:07, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
