Well. My name is Jennifer. I was born on August 10, 1988 in Brooklyn and I live in Staten Island in New York City. At the moment, I am in my freshman year of college at the University of Scranton, where I am studying Theology, Philosophy, Math and Spanish. A good time all around. I am Catholic, and I like Latin and Gregorian Chant. Note, however, the absence of Latin on my Wikipedia:Babel template. One year of ~~listening to my Latin teacher tell us about her son's escapades in kindergarten~~ high school Latin has done little for my mastery of the tongue.

I often forget to use the "Show preview" button or mark minor edits as such. I also probably wiki-link too many words. No reports of seizures yet, though, so I guess it hasn't done too much harm. Due to being busy with school and general laziness (as well as a desire to spend some time away from the computer), I'm no longer around much to edit. Feel free to leave messages on my talk page. I pop in every so often.

I found Wikipedia sometime during my sophomore year in high school. I made a few minor edits here and there, including a spelling correction to a word that was not, in fact, spelled incorrectly [1]. Whoops. Don't worry, the next edit to the article was my changing it back when I realized my mistake.

My first edit as a registered user was a comment on Talk:Gérard Depardieu on 9 February 2005.

On 11 April 2005, I started a stub on camauros. :) My firstest article.

Due to my oh-so-warm-and-embracing nature, on 6 July 2005, I embarked on a mission to leave birthday greetings on talk pages of users who list their birthdate at meta:Wikipedians by birthday.

On 26 July 2005, I wrote my first non-stub article, The Scarlet Pimpernel (musical). Yay! (Actually, Cry, the Beloved Country was the first, but my contribution was the equivalent of CliffsNotes. Pimpernel at least has traces of actual information.)

Some time ago, I got lazy and stopped making edits. I ceased to leave birthday messages some time before that. =( (Sorry. Senior year pwned me, and college continues to do so.)

Infant Communion -- Although I haven't really made major edits to the article itself, I inadvertently set off a reaction that has led to a lovely flurry of activity including the creation of a new article and a couple of barnstars being handed out. Huzzah! Anyway, an interesting article to watch.
Camauro -- The article sees very little action, I admit, but it holds a special place in my heart. :)

English-Spanish - pretty shotty quality, to be honest. Translated/abridged Sock to es:Calcetín. Fortunately, fluent people came along behind me and fixed it.

Spanish-English - first endeavor: Leonardo Torres y Quevedo from es:Leonardo Torres Quevedo. I translated the first few sections, aided by corrections from the ever-helpful fluent people. Then I started slacking, so the rest of the article was translated by others.

I am Catholic. I oppose women's ordination. Pope John Paul II is my hero. I'm also fond of Pope Benedict XVI.
I consider myself a relative liberal in politics. If asked, I would most likely tell you that I ~~am a~~ lean Democrat.
I am pro-life; that is, I oppose both abortion and the death penalty.
I proudly split my infinitives! I also like the Oxford comma.

I hate the "singular they." I'm also irked by constructions like "men and women" or "human beings." I use "mankind" and "men" as often as possible; it just sounds more impressive.
I went through a phase where I spelt words like "color" with a "u" and "theater" as "theatre." I've grown out of it for the most part.
