Jim Pickard

James "Jim" Pickard is a longtime NHL trainer currently employed by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jim Pickard's NHL career began with the Oakland Seals/California Golden Seals from 1969-1972. While with the Seals he worked with players such as Gerry Ehman, Bill Hicke, Carol Vadnais, Harry Howell, Charlie Hodge, and Autry Erickson.

From 1972-1990 He worked for the New York Islanders. He won 4 Stanley Cup championships in 1980, 1981, 1982, and 1983. The other trainer with the Islanders was Ron Waske. They worked with players such as Lorne Henning, Duane Sutter, Steve Tambellini, Mike Bossy, John Tonelli, Butch Goring, Jean Potvin, Denis Potvin, Stefan Persson, Roland Melanson, Bryan Trottier, Billy Smith, Greg Gilbert, Hector Marini, Bob Nystrom, Clark Gillies, Ken Morrow, Gord Lane, Brent Sutter, Anders Kallur, Wayne Merrick, Bob Bourne, Mike McEwen, Bill Carroll and Mats Hallin.

From 1991-1992 He worked for the St.Louis Blues working with players like Brett Hull, Adam Oates, Brendan Shanahan, Bret Hedican, Rich Sutter, Dave Lowry, and Stephane Quintal.

From 1992-1998 He served as an equipment manager for the Phoenix Roadrunners and the Las Vegas Thunder.

In 1998 He joined the Tampa Bay Lightning. There He has worked with players such as Dave Andreychuk, Brad Richards, Martin St. Louis, Stanislav Neckar, Darren Rumble, Sheldon Keefe, Andre Roy, Pavel Kubina, Petr Svoboda, Dmitry Afanasenkov, Nikolai Khabibulin, Bryan Muir, Cory Sarich, Darryl Sydor, Sergei Gusev, Jassen Cullimore, Ben Clymer, Dan Boyle, Fredrik Modin, Nolan Pratt, Chris Dingman, Tim Taylor, Vincent Lecavalier, Vaclav Prospal, John Grahame, Brad Lukowich, Ruslan Fedotenko, Martin Cibak, Gerald Coleman, Sean Burke, Vincent Lecavalier, Wendel Clark, Benoit Hogue, Darcy Tucker, Alexandre Daigle, Bill Ranford, Kevin Hodson, Steve Kelly, Corey Schwab, Paul Ysebaert, Mikael Renberg, John Cullen and Daren Puppa. He won His 5th Stanley Cup in 2004 with the Lightning.
