The house name - Konoor derives from the name of a very ancient Brahmin illam. The Brahmins of Kerala are also called Namboothiries and their houses are called Brahmaalayam or Mana. The house is built according to the canons of Vaasthusaasthram, meaning architecture in Sanskrit language.
