Konsole is a free terminal emulator for the KDE desktop environment. It is a complete rewrite, as opposed to many other terminal emulators that are derivatives of xterm or rxvt. Konsole was written by Lars Doelle.
Konsole supports a tabbed document interface, history, printing, and bookmarks. The KDE applications Konqueror, Kate, and KDevelop use Konsole as a KPart to embed its terminal functionality.
