La Belle et la Bête is the first song on Babyshambles' debut album Down in Albion. The songwriting is credited to Pete Doherty, Peter Wolfe, and Robert Chevalley, but it has been reported that Canadian model Irina Lazareanu helped writing the song too.[1] Model Kate Moss (Doherty's current girlfriend) sings the chorus that goes: "Is she more beautiful, is she more beautiful, is she more beautiful than me?"
