Lawrence Edward "Larry" Page (born March 26, 1973 in Lansing, Michigan) is an American entrepreneur who co-founded the Google internet search engine, now Google Inc., with Sergey Brin.[3]
Page is currently the President of Products at Google Inc. and has a net worth estimated at 16.6 billion dollars, making him the 26th richest person on earth together with Sergey Brin according to Forbes' annual list of billionaires on 2007[2].

[edit] Early life and education
Larry Page is the son of the late Dr. Carl Victor Page, professor of computer science and artificial intelligence at Michigan State University[4] and Gloria Page, a computer programming teacher at Michigan State University. He is also the brother of Carl Victor Page, Jr., a co-founder of e-groups, later sold to Yahoo for approximately one-half billion dollars.
Page attended a Montessori school in Lansing, Michigan and graduated from East Lansing High School. Page holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan with honors and a Masters degree from Stanford University.[5] Page was also a member of the solar car team at the University of Michigan, and served as the President of Michigan's HKN chapter in 1994.[6]
According to a profile of Page on the website of B'nai B'rith: "...Larry Page, whose mother Gloria is Jewish, grew up without much attachment to Jewish religion or culture. Raised more in the mold of his father, Carl Victor Page, whose religion was technology, Larry clearly has computing in his genes. His mother taught computer programming at Michigan State, and his older brother, Carl Jr., is a successful Internet entrepreneur. Larry's maternal grandfather, however, followed a much different path. He was an early settler in Israel, making aliyah in the spartan desert town of Arad. Aspects of his pioneering spirit - as well as the staunch progressive ideals of Larry's father - have been passed down to Larry, who actively supports causes ranging from space exploration to fighting poverty in Africa" [1].

While a student in the Ph.D. program in computer science at Stanford University, Page met Sergey Brin. Together they ran the Google search engine, which began operating in 1998. Google is based on patented PageRank technology, which relies on the structure of links between web sites to determine the ranking of an individual site. Page is still "on leave" from the Ph.D. program.
Page ran Google as co-president with Brin until 2001, when they hired Eric Schmidt to become Chairman and CEO of Google. Page now runs Google as a triumvirate along with Brin and Schmidt.
According to Forbes in September, 2006, Page had an estimated net worth of $16.6 Billion, making him the 26th richest person in the world, one place behind co-founder Brin[7]. Page and Sergey Brin recently purchased a Boeing 767 airliner for their business and personal needs.
In 2007, he was cited by PC World as #1 on the list of the 50 Most Important People on the Web, along with Google co-Founder Sergey Brin and CEO Eric Schmidt.[8]
He is also an investor in Tesla Motors, which is developing the Tesla Roadster, a 250 mile range battery electric vehicle.

The World Economic Forum named Page as a Global Leader for Tomorrow. The X PRIZE chose Page as a trustee for their board.[4]
