[edit] Musical question
Question: What was the song that played while bart is reenacting the intro to the show? I seem to remember it being a They Might Be Giants Song (or at least I think I heard them perform it).
[edit] Trivia
Lobot removed my note (18:46, 12 Feb) regarding facial features. I won't put it back in yet, but I don't think it's nongermane that the charater voiced by Natalie Portman has a similar facial feature to the actress. None of the Simpsons characters have moles or beauty marks unless it's for a plot or character reason, and the mark on Portman's cheek is quite distinct -- so this could easily have been an in-joke somewhere in the production team.

- The artists tend to be a little more detailed and realistic when it comes to animating guest stars. If however, it is an "in-joke" amongst the production team, find a source that meets the inclusion criteria and add it to the body of the article, see WP:WAF, WP:EPISODE, WP:AVTRIV, WP:V, and WP:OR. - There appears to be a WikiProject to remove excess trivia, that Lobot is a member of. Personally, I thought that the point of Wikipedia was that it wasn't a printed encyclopedia, so length of the entry wasn't a problem. Contempoarary TV shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and South Park are ALL about the trivia in-jokes. And I like to come to wikipedia to read about refences I might have missed. If every entry is going to be cleaned up, might as well not even have an entry for the episode. For what its worth, I re-entered my Mr. Burn's (not Roper-heh) entry. I think its a fine addition to the cannonical list of "breaking the forth wall". Someone who hates the simsons might back link and realize they like the Simpsons, as a practical example of why things like this should remain.69.37.78.35 16:49, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

- I would respectfully ask you to thoroughly read WP:WAF, WP:EPISODE, WP:AVTRIV, WP:V, and WP:OR. This has nothing to do with article size and everything to with citing sources and original research. For example, the bit about Monty mugging for the camera. You say it is a nod to Jack Benny, I would posit that given the situation (Smither's sexuality), the age of The Simpsons writting staff, and the age of the target demograhic of the show (and the FOX network in general) that it is more likely a nod to Norman Fell. Fell, in the role of Mr. Roper on Three's Company, used to mug for the camera in that exact manner when Jack Tripper's sexuality was mentioned. The point is, without a reliable source that says the writers intended either reference, it is contra our policies on original research and verifiability to insert either claim into the article. "Ogdenville and North Haverbrook were previously mentioned in "Marge vs. the Monorail". Im pretty sure Ogendville has been mentioned in several episodes. I know for sure it was mentioned in the one where Bart's the quarterback of the football team (can't remeber the name). 21:42, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] the cletus family

[edit] UK motorsports television shows
Please stop adding trivia about shows that aren't The Simpsons. The fact that a song is used by 2 shows is not notable and has nothing whatsoever to do with the subject of this article. The article for the song might be a better place to put that tidbit. Cheers. L0b0t 02:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lenny and Carl
The article states “It was revealed in this episode that Lenny and Carl share the same mother.” Given that it was a very weak implication at best – all it really reveals is that Carl has siblings – I’m removing the statement. -Ahruman 15:31, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

When grampa simpson at the beggining said "grampa out" was that in refrence to what Ryan Seacrest says all the bloody time on American Idol/On Air With R.S/E! News/AT 40.... "seacrest out"?
