Lucie Leblanc

Lucie Leblanc is a politician from Quebec, Canada, and the Action démocratique du Québec (ADQ) Member of the National Assembly for the electoral district of Deux-Montagnes.
She served as Councillor from 1998 to 2002 and as Mayor from 2002 to 2005 in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac.
Leblanc was nominated as an ADQ candidate for the 2007 election, after Jean-François Plante's candidacy was dismissed by his own party. Plante, a former Vision Montréal Councillor in Montreal, had made a controversial statements about women's rights and accused openly gay Parti Québécois (PQ) leader André Boisclair of taking advantage of his sexual orientation.[1]
Leblanc won a narrow victory to represent the district of Deux-Montagnes with 36% of the vote. PQ candidate Daniel Goyer finished second with 33% of the vote.
