Just noticed there is a proposed deletion for this page under citing 'non notable indy wrestler' as a reason. I would argue against that with the fact that Manson has wrestler for both the biggest company in England (1PW) and the biggest company in Ireland (IwW) as well as wrestling on a regular basis (pretty much every weekend) and wrestling in Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand and the US. He has also received a try out with the biggest pro wrestling company in the world (WWE). Surely that is noteworthy enough to warrant inclusion in wikipedia?

But there are over 1,000 wrestlers who have wrestled for WWE, just because he had one dark match doesn't warrant inclusion on Wikipedia. And just because he worked for 1PW (which is not a very big company) doesn't establish notability.BooyakaDell 01:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

I take your point but Manson is a genuine possibility to go somewhere in wrestling given that he is still only 25. Also, 1PW is one of the biggest if not the biggest company in Europe which understandably doesn't count for that much to fans in the US given the availability of WWE, TNA etc. but it is huge over here. Would an editing down of the article be helpful?

I have edited the article down and hopefully this will make it more in lne with the wikipedia policies. Let me know if any other changes are needed.

Hey there, thanks for your reply, don't quite understand what you mean by 'verifiable, third party sources for this topic' in relation to this topic means. I manage Manson's website and can provide hit statistics to prove interest in his career or link you to sites which use his image or bio to promote themselves? Evidence that he is going somewhere at least in the wrestling sense could arguably be how often he works internationally and at home and how much press/TV coverage he gets?

Hi. In a nutshell, there are certain policies on Wikipedia that articles have to abide by. As Wikipedia:Verifiability says, "If an article topic has no reliable, third-party sources, Wikipedia should not have an article on it." Saying that IrishWhipWrestling.com reported something does not count as a valid source because you have not provided an exact link to the EXACT page where it says he worked a WWE dark match. Whether "he is going somewhere" is an opinion, there is no way getting around that it's na opinion.BooyakaDell 23:29, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the reply. Just for the record, I never said he was going somewhere in the actual article - I know the difference between opinion and what Wikipedia is after - I just used it as a argument for keeping the article in place as part of wikipedia on this talk page. Cheers for clearing up some of it though! There is info on the try out on this page (http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/promotions/iww.html) but I'm not sure if that is acceptable. Sorry for the questions - I'm fairly new to Wikipedia but learning
