Maxeen is a three-piece rock band based out of Los Angeles, CA,. Signed to Side One Dummy in 2003, they released their debut eponymous album. They were signed in 2004 to Warner Bros. Records and are currently at work on their first album with the label. Maxeen cites influences from early U2, The Police, Joe Jackson, The Replacements, The Jam, and many other purveyors of classic pop-rock based music. An interesting fact regarding the band is its name, which is a tribute to the woman who helped get them going and inspired them to make something of their music.
They toured on the Matt Hoopes Birthday Tour with Relient K and the Rocket Summer in February 2006, although they were unable to make it to the Virginia shows, most notably the NorVa showing on March 21st, 2006.
Maxeen has recently just finished touring with Sugarcult. They are currently touring with Jonezetta, Action Action, and We Are the Fury.
Maxeen's debut album, titled "Maxeen", was released in 2003.
Their song, "Please", is on the soundtrack of the video game Burnout 3: Takedown, and their song, "Block Out the World", is on the soundtrack to Burnout Dominator.
