Mohamad Nizam Shapie is a coach under the Pertubuhan Seni Gayung Fatani Malaysia. He is also the Head Coach for the Coaching Division at Pusat Cemerlang Silat, the operations centre under the patronage of PSGFM.

[edit] Biography
Mohamad Nizam Shapie, or full name Mohamad Nizam bin Mohamed Shapie was born on the 26th of August 1979 and is originally from Pangkor Island, Perak. He received early education at Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan St. John (2) at Bukit Nanas and Sekolah Agama Ataufiqiyah on Jalan Menteri went on to receive secondary school education at Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Kajang.
After finishing secondary school he went on to further his studies at the UKM Matriculation Centre at Jalan Tenteram in Kuala Lumpur. He received a Bachelor of Science in Genetics at UKM in 2001 and in 2002-2004 took his Masters in Sports Science at UiTM, Shah Alam.
At the end of 2005, Mohamad Nizam wedded Raja Noor Adilla Raja Mahyaldin, and they were blessed with their first child, their lovely daughter Elissa Sarah in 2006.
[edit] Involvement in Silat
Mohamad Nizam began learning silat under one Cikgu Aminuddin Hj. Anuar in 1991 at age 11. The specific style of silat he had begun to learn was Seni Gayung Fatani and the coach he was pupil to was none other than the son of current Grandmaster, Tn. Hj. Anuar. He received his black belt and earned the status of Pendekar in 1997 at age 17.
He has contributed a great deal to the PSGFM as a Professional Silat Coach since the year 2000. He holds the highest amount of gelanggang in Selangor with more than 20 gelanggang in and around the Klang Valley and has done us proud by bringing home his share of medals from his participation in competitions and various other events.
He has taught in 30 gelanggang as Coach and Assistant Coach. He now holds 20 gelanggang in Bandar Baru Bangi, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Ampang, Kajang, and Kuala Lumpur. Many students have become champions and medalists in both Silat Seni and Silat Olahraga under his guidance and training.
[edit] Pusat Cemerlang Silat
Mohamad Nizam founded and opened Pusat Cemerlang Silat as an arena to train and develop professional silat coaches and also as a training center to train future champions. PCS is led and organized by Mohamad Nizam.
Under his tutelage, PCS has developed its own coaching division, made up of qualified and able coaches and assistant coaches. These individuals are made up of exponents who are ranked Pesilat, Pendekar Muda and above.
PCS has also become the operations center or headquarters of the Pertubuhan Seni Gayung Fatani Malaysia and is under the patronage of PSGFM. This honour includes hosting training sessions for exponents from foreign countries and even film shoots.
Mohamad Nizam is now the Head Coach for the aforementioned Coaching Division at Pusat Cemerlang Silat which is situated in Taman Mesra, Kajang.

- Members of PCS helped train actors for a scene in the Malay drama "Mahligai Gading".
- January 2007 - Members of PCS represented PSGFM in a performance for the national-level celebration of Ma'al Hijrah 1428H (20/1/2007) which was held at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Among those present were the Yang Dipertuan Agong of Malaysia, the Prime Minister and his Vice.
