Newport Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Washington County, Ohio, United States. No other township in Ohio is named Newport Township.
It borders the following townships:
- Independence Township: northeast
- Lawrence Township: north
- Fearing Township: northwest corner
- Marietta Township: west
To the south and east, Belpre Township borders West Virginia across the Ohio River.
