Nikki Clan is a Mexican pop band from Sonora and Baja California, The band is formed by Yadira Gianola (lead vocals), Alberto Espinoza (bass guitar), José Antonio Dabdoub (guitar), Ángel Yáñez (guitar), and José Carlos Fausto Monroy (drums). The band was created in 2005 by known producer Abelardo Vázquez (also producer of Reik), and released their first album in 2006. The self-titled album, Nikki Clan, is part of a five-album contract with Sony BMG. "Mirame" (Look at me) was released as the first single with tremendous success.

[edit] Formation
In January of 2005, Alberto Espinoza (guitar bass) with his band "Piltrafas" contacted Abelardo Vázquez to set up an audition. Days later, the Piltrafos were invited by Abelardo to join solist singer Yadira Gianola to form a musical experiment called Nikki Clan. On April they started working together recording demos, which included "Mirame". In July of the same year, they presented the project to Sony-BMG. They were well received, and two months later, they signed the five-album contract with the SONY-BMG label. [1]
With the production of Abelardo Vazquez, they set to record their first album with Sony-BMG on November of that year. By the beginnings of 2006, the album was completed and ready to be released to the market.
The Nikki Clan band was form in Baja California Sur in the city of La Paz, in January of 1991 but becomes in a commercial band of Rock-Pop in January of 2005.

In August of 2006 they released their second single "No me digas que no" (Don't tell me no), which is a version in Spanish from the song Boy Like You, by the singer Diana DeGarmo.
