Novi Kneževac (Нови Кнежевац) is a town and municipality in the North Banat District of Vojvodina, Serbia. The town has a population of 7,567, while Novi Kneževac municipality has 12,952 inhabitants (2002 census).

The name of the town derived from the Serbian word "knez" ("prince" in English), and the full meaning of the name in English would be "the new place of the prince".
In Serbian, the town is known as Novi Kneževac or Нови Кнежевац, in Hungarian as Törökkanizsa, in Croatian as Novi Kneževac, and in German as Neu-Kanischa.

- Hungarians = 3,864 (29.78%)
- Roma = 655 (5.04%)

The places with Serb ethnic majority are: Novi Kneževac, Banatsko Aranđelovo, Siget, Filić, Srpski Krstur, Đala and Podlokanj. The two villages with Hungarian ethnic majority are: Majdan (Hungarian: Magyarmajdány) and Rabe (Hungarian: Rábé). Villages with over 20% Hungarians are: Filić (Hungarian: Firigyháza), Banatsko Aranđelovo (Hungarian: Oroszlámos) and Siget (Hungarian: Sziget).
